Many mental disorders are caused due to improper regulation of the brain and depression is one such. It affects both children adults very common among teenagers. There many challenges clinicians face regarding management this disease. These have prompted development various neuroimaging techniques that effectively diagnose condition. The main Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) Positron emission tomography (PET) which gained momentum over years. Advanced MRI help study certain regions such as hippocampus amygdala. Effective treatments for include antidepressant medications stimulation techniques. Although effective a lot people, there still room improvement. This article (1) presents background on depression, its types, symptoms risk factors; (2) elaborates used reviews adopted years depression; (3) discusses treatment methods can be practised cure depression.
